MANISTEE – Peggy Raddatz received The Lakeside Club of Manistee County’s first-ever Excellence in Achievement Award at the organization’s May 2024 general membership meeting. The announcement was made today in a news release from the club.
Raddatz serves as the club’s secretary and has given “tireless” support and service for 25-plus years, according to the release.
“Peggy always goes above and beyond, and easily met the criteria to receive this award,” Interim President Deborah Green said.
Club criteria for receiving the award include “efforts and accomplishments in providing leadership, respect and critical responsibilities.” Awardees must be “kind, charitable and generous” and someone “who uplifts and helps other women and is someone others want to emulate.”
Next year, The Lakeside Club of Manistee will celebrate its 140th anniversary of service to Manistee County. The club raises funds for charities serving the county. Those fundraising efforts include hosting its biennial Tour of Homes (this year on July 20) and its annual Festival of Trees during the Victorian Sleighbell weekend in December.
In 2025, the club will hold its biennial Spring Tea and Fashion Show.
