From a press announcement
MANISTEE ‒ Step into the shadows for an evening of mystery, music and vintage thrills as “The Spectral Silhouette” takes the Ramsdell Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 5.
“Normal and paranormal beware, The Spectral Silhouette will always be there!” reads the first line of a description found on the show’s website.
“Inspired by classic old-time radio programs such as The Shadow, The Whistler and The Green Hornet, ‘The Spectral Silhouette’ is a pulpy, suspense-filled original audio drama brought to life in a live theatrical performance,” reads the rest of the online playbill.
The production includes voice actors, sound effects and a haunting musical score performed by the Black and Blue Hearts.
Audience members will experience the Golden Age of Radio in a new way as mystery and mayhem unfold live on the Ramsdell’s stage. The live performance will take place “one night only” and is equal parts noir thriller, supernatural adventure and retro-entertainment spectacle.
