BALDWIN – The Lake County Historical Society invites members of the public to help celebrate the completion of its new historical research center and museum workroom  on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  on the grounds of the museum at 915 N. Michigan Avenue.

“It is with all of your financial support that we have been able to accomplish this goal,” read a statement in the society’s event announcement. “We will now be able to better serve our community with a more efficient research space and a support area to enable us to create even better exhibits and programs.”

During the celebration, historical society members will offer behind-the-scenes tours of the museum, including the new first-floor addition and a new logging exhibit. At 6 p.m., a historical society member will offer remarks. Refreshments will be served.
