Now in its 57th year, the WSAF is an open-air show managed by the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. As a nonprofit, the center cultivates community access to arts and culture in western Michigan.

A children’s art activity area and the popular Children’s Art Buying Tent will be on hand during the fair. The tent will feature original artwork and jewelry donated by WSAF artists for sale to children under 16 for just $5. The goal of the art-buying tent is to provide children the opportunity to select and purchase high-quality artwork, thereby helping them become patrons of the arts. No adults are allowed in the tent. All proceeds from the sale of art supports children’s programming at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

Food court vendors, located along Lewis Street, will include Krave, the Ludington Optimist Club, Ben’s Soft Pretzels, Norma’s Tamales and Mexican Cuisine, the Rotary Club of Ludington, Lela’s Original Kettle Corn, Crazy Good Crapes, the Olive Branch, The Wandering Fork and Paul’s Jerky.

Live music will be offered on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday’s performers include Susan & Rabbit (11 a.m.), Rob’s Roust-Abouts (noon), Meredith Hanson and the LACA Ukulele Group (1 p.m.), the Beet Diggers (2 p.m.), AsparaGrass (3 p.m.) and Joe Irelan (4 p.m.). Sunday’s performers are Cheryl Wolfram (noon), Third Coast Swing (1 p.m.), The Stinks (2 p.m.) and the Ron Johnson Quartet (3 p.m.).

Volunteers are needed. According to the release, the fair’s continued success depends on the involvement of community members. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available during the show and on set-up days: Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4.
