Lemon will open the show with a stand-up routine, followed by the sisters performing an original play they wrote and directed called, “The Spectacular Vermin Sisters: Taking Back What’s Ratfully Ours.”

“This show is a celebration of sisterhood, and of those who crave the limelight,” read a statement in the press announcement. “We were drawn to the idea of having a double — whether it be a rat version of you that lives under your floorboards or a sister who contains the best and worst parts of you.”

Both acts will perform later this summer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. According to the Edinburgh Fringe website, the festival was founded by some who were not invited to perform at the 1947 Edinburgh International Festival, but who decided to share their acts “on the fringe” of the venerable festival anyway. The “fringe” idea took off and has been celebrated with performances each year since.
