CUSTER, Mich. ‒ Heads up, Mason County and beyond. The second annual U.S. 10 Cigar Box Guitar Festival will take place noon-10 p.m., July 11, at the VFW Gold Bar Post 5096, 2022 U.S. Highway 10.

Never heard of a cigar box guitar? This is the place to find out what all the rage and fun is about. The festival is a family-friendly, free event that includes performances by the cigar box guitar musicians — plus food, vendors and lots of music.

The festival is a benefit for the Lakeshore Animal Friends of Ludington, a spay/neuter organization also offering foster care for abandoned dogs and cats, some with medical needs. The group will have a table at the event.
